H170M-E D3 is a budget mobo. That's why it's DDR3 to keep them cost down.

 

Yea it supports DDR3, but it doesnt support DDR4?

It supports both, but it's up to the manufacturer to make a mobo that picks if it is ddr3 or ddr4. Like I said, it's a budget mobo to keep cost down.

No this Motherboard only supports DDR3 memory.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

No it doesn't , just DDR3L.
