So this was my first attempt on overclocking my i5 4690K. Don't know if I should keep it this way or not.

The Max Temp was under 100% load with LinX (I can test with others as well, if this is needed)

The Min Temp are jumping from 37-55 when under 0%-15% load.

What cooler are you using?

Those max temps are a bit hot but in current temps if they are <85C under stress test for the most part you should be good. Overall that looks good with the voltage and overclock but what cooling solution are you using.

Well, it only jumped to those temps occasionally. Like 2 or 3 times. I'm using the hyper 212 evo

250mV for a 200MHz overclock is a bit excessive.....

As long as you have an avg temp of <85C it is good.

Doesn't that depend on what the stock voltage for his specific chip is?

What would you suggest?

Turn your volts down a tad, increase your mhz, make the volts worth the heat.

usually less than 1.1v

What would you suggest?

try lowering the voltage or increasing the frequency until unstable than back off a little

would 1.200 be enough, or would you go even lower than that?

there is no way to know until you try...

every CPU is different so we cant tell you what values your CPU is stable with

a little lower then start inceasing the mhz until fail.

download prime95. keep raising multiplier until core fails. then keep the multiplier and keep adding voltage until cores are stable. Initial test should be 10 minutes on prime. Once you find a clock that passes the first 10 minutes and you are happy with it, run for 10 hours straight. If no failures and instability, you get to enjoy a faster cpu.

Tip, each multiplier and voltage should be raised by only 1 increment each time. Always use the lowest possible voltage for the clock speed desired so you can prolong the lifespan of the chip.

IMPORTANT: Don't forget to disable turbo and all the inconvenient power saving features.
