Hey everyone, 

 

I'm currently in the process of upgrading my mother's laptop to windows 10, from windows 8.1. Now she doesn't want all that spying stuff everyone's talking about, and I believe I saw a guide in someone's signature to how to disable all of the bad stuff. I've searched the forum but I can't seem to find it. So if anyone has a link to the topic with the guide, that'd be great! Thanks in advance :)

Dont use express settings, dont use Cortana and you are good to go. The rest of the "tweaks" are people with tinfoil hats going crazy.

I kinda disagree, the rest of the "tweaks" are for those who really care.

I've seen things saying that even if you disable all of the settings, it still sends back data. Not sure how far to trust those.

yeah, it's for the crazy. The only thing you should disable is p2p updates if your network can't handle it.
