no not really consider it has six cores and I have it overclocked to 4.5 ghz

well, havent you seen the hate that AMD CPUs get on these forums?

those 6 cores are weak. more like 2 cores tbh :P

and there's a ton of z97 boards in stock..... and i mean a lot of stock. there's a lot to choose from.

Heh. Welcome to the club my friend.

No, seriously, noone in their right mind should ever consider this combination. Ended up with this combination after my HD7850 died and a new PC was already in planning. 2 weeks to go and I'll be rocking my 4790k.

Overclock the FX 6300 as far as it will go and overclock your ram while keeping the timings tight, then overclock your NB and HT. All these will reduce the bottleneck, it will still be there, but will reduce it.

4,1GHz is the highest stable OC i can get out of this CPU. I don't want my PC to crash while working on something important.

You need to stress test your CPU when overclocking, if you stress test properly you don't get blue screens.

yeah clicking after clicking until you yourself build up stress and want to trash your pc don't sugarcoat it. It's not fun and if you do it properly you do get blue screens

You can't stresstest a PC which does not boot beyond UEFI. Still, experiments are to be made, it's been half a year already since my last try, maybe I'll do some more research for the 2 Weeks left of AMD glory.
