Can I run Avast and CCleaner if Windows Defender is running?

LeechHax

I want to use Avast as my main anti-virus, and CCleaner as my main anti-malware, however, Windows Defender is real-time scan, and I don't want it to conflict with Avast!

When I went to the Windows Defender settings to try and turn it off, it says "This helps find and stop malware from installing or running on your PC. You can turn this off temporarily, but if it's off for a while we'll turn it back on automatically."

So should I still run Avast and Windows Defender together? Or am I just worrying too much and it's not really that much of a big deal?

Windows Defender should automatically disable as Avast has both an anti-virus scanner and an anti-spyware scanner.

I didn't read that part. You're right. It's not anti-malware.
