21:9 isn't even supported on a lot of games so 16:9 for gaming. However, for everything else, an Ultrawide is very, very nice, bar Photoshop where the bend in the middle can mess with things.

I would go ultrawide some games are spectacular on a ultrawide

and if you want 16:9 you can always black bar it

he's right...most games that do have support for 21:9 resolution end up being stretched out to fill the screen and it just does not look right...and for many other games they just plain don't support it and will have black bars on the sides.
