What do you think of the beta LMG site?

So what do you think of LinusMediaGroup website so far?

In my opinion it looks sleek, can't wait to see it improved. As it needs some improvements..

It does not look bad, but it does not really serve much of a purpose either. I really don't know...

Yeah the purpose of it is probably not for us already here but for the new comers. Unless they start posting some big news on the main page... which I doubt they will.

I like the look of the website and the profile they give on each member of the LMG team but I agree it serves little purpose at the moment.

My rig: i5 2500k, MSI Z77A G45, Gainward GTX 980 Phantom, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, OCZ ZT series 750W PSU, 1TB HDD, 800D, fully water cooled. I am currently working on modding my HAF 912+ to fit a custom loop, here is the build log: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/165963-project-viridis-water-cooled-haf-912/

I think it's so that we have somewhere to direct people to when we tell them we're a legitimate company. =P

Clear, clean, and professional.   You have my approval.  It serves as a nice place to direct potential clients/customers.  Something they can also put on their business cards.

tiny hands in the func commercial was hilarious.

  • 1 year later...

The only idea I have is if it is professional, got its own domain not sub ("squarespace.com") and not made by a drag and drop editor, then its not a NO NO from me.

Yes, I am trying to say "I don't want to visit any site thats made by a drag and drop editor including this one".

I think people are looking at this from the wrong perspective. Its a website to sell themselves to sponsors, its not for us skivvies.

If I was to look at it in that light then yeah, A-Grade work, simple, clean and informative, as a skivvy its..... nice looking but serves no purpose to me.

The site is super weird looking on mobile for me. :c

Edit: I think that it just doesn't like to change between portrait and landscape. That makes stuff weird.

Initially the site looks pretty good.

How can something with less be glorified?

Because anything made in DW looks like a site straight out of the 90's internet.
