surprisingly, once you top 1000 fps in minecraft, theres other things that come to play, things you didnt even think of being possible of happening.

like bottlenecking on pci-e 3.0 x16

How the damn does minecraft bottleneck on 3.0 16x?

how much ram should i allow it?

whatever its using, plus a tiny bit of headroom.

allocating ram to minecraft is like dialing in voltage for an overclock. too little and its unstabile, too much and it'll use excess energy (or in the case of minecraft, take extra cpu power doing garbage cycles -> unstabile fps)

Agreed 256 though some 512 are good, also allocated 4GB MAX of RAM to MC, even in ultra nodded with ULTRA shaders.

i totally dont have a modpack that doesnt even load up with less than 6GB allocated sitting somewhere xD

That would explain it...

minecraft, along with a lot of other java based games (theres a few out there...) dont play well with intel integrated, usually making it near impossible to get past 30 FPS.

then again, still better than asscreep:unity on PS4

i put 12 mods on

Did you do it or use a modpack? Modpackd from FTB are decently easy to run because they only use stable mods. Also try shaders, shaders is built into Optifine
