Hi everyone

I have a sx600-g with a noisy fan that i want to mod.
Along the way i have realised that there may be more to it, then i originally expected.

I have this:
- Silverstone sx600-g v1.1
- SilenX iXtrema PRO (80x80x15)

I am aware of:
- This fan needs 3 pins and there are only a 2 pin in the power supply,
I handle this by routing it to my motherboard for manual fan control.
- The SilenX iXtrema PRO is known for bearing isues. (I have extra)

My questions are/i am unsure of:
- is the 15mm thickness of the fan too much? maybe i need 14 or 10mm?
- anything i am missing here? or am i good to go?

If you get a quieter fan and an adapter you can hook it back up into the PSU.

Regular safety stuff about opening a PSU where you should unplug it press the power button on the system a few times and let it for 30-60 min before opening it. While open be mindful of the contacts of the capacitors and to not short them out or touch them.
