With the arrive of Lizard Squad in late 2014 hacking Xbox live and Psn servers it makes me wonder why no one targets the pc side of things. Is it because it is more secure or because of the fewer player base and attention they would get?

because pc is objectively better and consoles suck

because you can't just shut down the 'internet servers' and be done with it, like they did with the PSN and Xbox Live servers. that's not how it works!

because the pc servers are not a group of servers that you can just look up, every single game has different servers.

Maybe PCMasterRace, maybe Lizard Squad play games on Steam. Also, console gamers tend to rage easier.

They attacked PSN and Xbox Live because they didn't like Sony and Microsoft's lack of proper security so they exploited it to prove a point but PC is different since Steam users get hacked everyday.

Probably because they wouldn't get as much attention in the media, as they would by taking out the console's services that lets face it, the majority of people (especially younger people that care more about Christmas) at Christmas time will be using. And a few of them have issues with the service providers, whom after countless attacks show no effort in strengthening their security

 

Plus, the PC community is a lot more fierce (a lot of very clever people that you wouldn't really want to get on the wrong side of)

Yeah also LizardSquad aren't "Hackers" but DDoSers even tho they are technically an BlackHat hacker group.
