Between 3 CPU coolers, need your help!

Go to solution Solved by Luckris,

I got the Hyper 212 PLUS for 18.88 on amazon today. If you ask me that's better than 30$ for around the same performance as the EVO. I can just add some SP 120's to it later, and be fine with temps.

Works out for me, because even if I did buy the EVO, I would just replace the fans anyway. So the only thing I'm paying for really is the heat pipes on the bottom touching or having a gap. And when it comes down to 18$ VS 30$, paying less would be the better solution. Thanks for the advice guys, almost bought the T4.

So I decided that my i7 is getting a bit too hot for my stock cooler, and I need something cheap, in the 25$ range to replace it.

I got 3 on my mind right now;

Cooler Master Hyper T4
Xigmatek Gaia SD1283
Cooler Master Hyper 212 PLUS

I can look up all the YouTube and Google reviews of these that I can find, but I still don't know which one would be the best.
I'm looking to overclock a little from my current 2.8GHz, to around 3GHz or more with an i7 860.

I honestly don't know which is the best, hoping people who maybe had experiences with these coolers can help me decide which is the best for what I'm looking to do.

If you know any cooler that fits the 25$ ish price range, and is better always post it.

Thanks for anybody willing to help me out, and I will leave you a pic of my rig to laugh at. Maybe even be disgusted by it... It's bad is what I'm getting at.

I'd go with the hyper 212.

The T4 has lower FPI and the gaia has only 3 heatpipes.

Alright, I'll look into the 212 Evo. I was just going to buy a back plate for my GTX 470, so that's why I was looking for the price range of like 25$. I'm sure I can spare a few more dollars though.

Thanks for your help guys. I was originally going for the Hyper T4, but 212 Evo is it!

Looked into it a bit more, and the Evo really doesn't offer much more performance for the budget I'm in. I'm going with the 212 Plus tomorrow, and then later saving more and buying a few Corsair SP 120 fans to help it along.
After that I will get a Backplate for my 470, then a I/O shield for my mobo, and to finish it all off, a new PSU, and maybe get rid of that horrid internet card that always gives me issues. After that, it's all going to go towards an Air 540, with a H100 or something.

Only advantage of the Evo, is the new fan, and the heat pipes all touching, which really only offers a 1-2 difference.

I guess I might be the only one, but the xigmatek cooler has treated me pretty well, and was really easy to mount.

So I couldn't tell much of a difference between the Hyper T4, and the 212 Plus. I'm guessing the T4 just doesn't do as well. I couldn't find any good comparisons between the two either.

The Evo is a bit better at idle and even more so when overclocked or under load.
