I think the R9-970 was looking to be priced around $600US actually. Along with the free games that they offer to the US, it's just unbeatable value

I think the 9970 will be around £400 or £450 considering you can get a 7990 for £500.

They will set price accordingly on nvidia prices and performance- but a bit lower + you get free games.

I noticed when Nvidia bundled Splinter Cell with their GPUs the prices increased by about £30, I'm glad that AMD just included free games rather than increasing the price as well.

Yeah, you will be able to choose the three games you want most out of the list provided... So long as you have the R9-970 card then the games are free... They give them to you as part of the never settle forever bundle. It's not listed as a compatible card with this offer yet because it's not released. For the time being the games offered in the never settle forever bundle are detailed here http://sites.amd.com/us/promo/never-settle/Pages/nsreloadedforever.aspx

So it's save to say that the games are cost about $100-$200 or so. This makes the price of the cards really low if you're about to sell them o_O

As always, but no one has discussed the pricing of the R9-950 yet, so it's difficult to say for sure

Any 3 of those games won't cost more than $60, plus AMD can get them slightly cheaper still because they're AMD. However, there are 2 new games that will be added to the list when the R9-970 gets released, one of them is rumored to be Battlefield 4, which will be worth a lot as it will be brand new which is closer to your prediction of $100-200. But as I said, it's a rumor. Take it with a grain of salt

They will better the Price:Performance of Nvidia cards. Equivalent tier AMD cards are always cheaper anyway, they seem to be trying to grab market share and selling cards for cheaper than expected and they might continue this with the new series and given that currently the 780 has no competition it's price is probably inflated leaving room for AMD to undercut with a similarly performing card.

I'm mostly interested in the price of the card that fills the gap between the 7970GHz/680/770 and the 780.

The line-up will look like this : $699 for the 7990, $549 for the 9970 $449 for the 9950, $369 for the 7970 Ghz, $329 for the 7970 & $249 for the 7950.

I am calling it now.

The 9970 equivalent will cost between $500 and $550. The 9950 will cost between $400 and $450. And so on.

Well he said "all" the games at $100-$200. Saying $40 a game, that is $120. $60 a game, that is $180. He is probably right.
