Update 12/17/2015: just a small update, I decided to oc my ram since I dont want to lose any performance, so I oc it to 2880mhz and it is stable and working. It gives 30-40% improvement across the board in term of read, write, copy, and latency. Which is a big jump. So I ended up with 0 trade-off and gain more than losing. The ram I use has no xmp profile and it default speed is 2133.

Just so everyone knows, this is not me asking for suggestion. I just want to show that non-k skylake can be oc and it helps answer thing for those who wondering if they should get K or non-K
There is a trade-off for this oc, and it is reducing the ram freqency. Mine going from 2133 to 1800. It is a small sacrifice so it wont affect anything much.

I'm sure everyone been reading the news couple days ago asrock releases the bios that let you oc. So I done it and test it and it is stable
I'm using an  Asrock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming-ITX/ac with the L.54 bios. For those who curious

Hey, you don't have to sacrifice memory speed if you don't want to. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/505959-my-experience-with-overclocking-ddr4-and-locked-skylake-skus/

Just hit it a little harder, and get both.

Well for me, sacrifice has to be made, I can oc it more but 4.3GHz is good enough and beside 1800mhz ram speed wont affects game much except some but the perf increase is minimal.

I use hyper 212 evo for me oc and fan speed is at 30% and the temp of it is 50C max
