Is 4gb enough for playing games like GTA V, rocket league, watching movies, and playing source games? Should I just suck it up and pay $20 for 4gb more of DDR3 RAM?

really you need 8GB reccomended, 4GB is too little these days, and as DDR3 is pretty darn cheap, there's no excuse not to get 8GB.

csgo, most source games and rocket league runs fine on 4gb of ram but if you want to play gta 5 you need 8GB, id just wait

Those are weird amounts just get 2 4GB sticks and call it a day.

Well the board has 2 slots and it has 2gb in each so I was thinking just get a single 8gb stick or 4gb stick and use an existing one.

I had two empty slots so i desired to fill them with 2x8gb on top of the 2x4gb ram

Is 4gb enough for playing games like GTA V, rocket league, watching movies, and playing source games? Should I just suck it up and pay $20 for 4gb more of DDR3 RAM?

You would be able to get away with 4GB for most games as long as you don't have other intensive things in the background like a web browser with multiple tabs open. Although some games like GTA V and Just Cause 3 (those two are games that I have noticed from personally experience that seem to take 4GB+ easily by themselves) might struggle a bit. If it is only an extra $20 for 8GB you should just go for it, in the end it will save you money as the GB per $ is cheaper by just getting an 8GB kit as opposed to getting a 4GB kit now and then another later on once you realise that you need more.
