I'm building my first computer, I haven't bought the parts yet, because I'm doing it as a self birthday present and my bday is in May. I was thinking about doing a retro-neon themed build, with purple underlights and blue/purple inside. I want to watercool it for effect as well.

Here are the parts:

Intel Core i5 6600K 3.5GHz
MSI Z170A Krait Gaming Motherboard
MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Video Card
Kingston FURY 16GB DDR4 2400MHz Memory
Corsair RM550 (or EVGA SuperNova 550)
Corsair 750D Airflow Edition
Samsung 850 EVO Series 250GB SSD
Western Digital BLACK SERIES 1TB

With the watercooling, I want to do soft tubing because it'll be easier and I don't really mind the difference. I'll put in a 360mm rad and a 240mm rad (and maybe a 140mm on the back).

Here are my questions:

What fans should I use? Should I do what JayzTwoCents did and paint the rims of the fans or should I get LED fans?
What coolant/dye should I use? Would using UV coolant be a good idea? Or should I get cyan-ish blue coolant?
Is there anything else I can do that would make this look really cool? I'm open to suggestions.

May is a long ways away. I suspect you will have some more gpu and psu choices by then.

Did you consider a case like the Fractal Design Define S - Window? It offers very good liquid cooling support and allows for a very clean display.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
