I am using a i7 2600K Sandy Bridge with 8gbs ram

Was thinking of changing my GFX from GTX 760 to GTX 970.

Is it a good choice? WIll I face bottleneck from my cpu?

Reason is some games are hard to play now with my GTX760 (Laggy)

It will be a good upgrade.

There is always a bottleneck SOMEWHERE. But no, that wont be a huge bottleneck at all.

CPU/RAM should be fine, but I'd suggest a 390 over a 970, it has 125% more VRAM, bit more performance overall, potentially better DX12/Vulkan support, but mostly you save money on free-sync vs G-sync

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

But 390 from where i am at is very expensive.

$589SGD

Think with my budget I can only got MSI 960 4gb

Should check if the 380 is the same price, or check the price of 200 series cards

Are those better?

the 380 is a bit better overall ya, and the 290 would be the last gen card to get

mostly it's just for potentially better DX12/Vulkan support, and a cheaper adaptive sync display
