CPU Choice

I can't decide if i should get the intel i7 4790k but i cost 412Us$ but i still need a new z97 motherboard.

But the amd Fx8350 that only cost 200Us$ but the motherboards i can find to the fx doesn't have PCIe 3.0.

Or should i wait to the new amd cpus comes out.

AMD for cheap gaming, Intel for all around use (Gaming, Photoshop, Recording)

 

I recommend Intel if you want to fully utilize you GPU bandwidth

What is your budget, what is the rest of your system specs, what is the purpose of the PC

Well, for under $600, go for AMD.

 

for $600-700 it depends.

 

And for $700 and up, go Intel.

Yeah was reading about that was about to by the fx8350 but them i saw is was from 2012 and thougt it was maybe a bit to old. But the most im gonna use my cpu for is small amounts of streaming.

For gaming, Dont get either of those,

Get an i5-4690k it is MORE than enough

 

and i'm pretty sure no current card is bottlenecked by PCI-E 2.0x16

 

Never get amd apart from for a budget HTPC (an A10 APU) or a budget Gaming pc (Athlon 860k)
