I know this question has been asked before so I apologize, but would a R9 390 or a GTX 970 be better for a single 1080p monitor? I thunk that stock the R9 390 is better but I plan to overclock and the 970 overclock a lot better. I could be wrong their so feel free to correct me thank you. The system I will be running this on is comprised 2 X5647s and 16Gb RAM. Thank you for your help.

390 is still better then the 970.

The 390 would still in most cases (I'm not talking worst vs best model) win if both were OCed, it just wouldn't be as large of a gap as 970s do overclock better % wise.
