as5 is garb

Not really.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

MX-4 is one of the best value pastes you can get for the money.

AS5 isn't fantastic IMHO, has a cure time a well.

The best paste is probably something like Grizzly but you'll be expected to fork out for it.

Arctic Silver 5 was quite good -- three or five years ago.

There are better thermal compounds available since the debut of AS5 -- new improvements over the years.

I sworn to AS5 up until...about two years ago.

Out of the thermal compounds I own (and have tried), the Arctic Cooling MX-4 stands out, though it is only marginally better than the Antec Formula 7  (the application process for MX-4 is much easier; Formula 7 is THICK).

Spoiler

In the picture:

  • Antec Formula 7
  • Arctic Cooling MX-4
  • Some Thermaltake compound
  • Corsair compound (yes, Corsair)
  • Arctic Silver 5
