ATX. Just ATX all the way. Nothing is quite so spectacular as an ATX build. Yes, that even includes the amazing prodigy builds. That being said, I would vote for XL-ATX if it was an option

I am good at computer

Thus far I've only done ATX builds, I'm thinking about experimenting with an ITX build for a mobile gaming rig, but I love the options you get with ATX boards and cases. Also I'm currently using an EATX board, you might want to add that.

I prefer ATX builds when I'm at home and it allows me to make my PC look like a monster , so when ipmy mates come round they can see my sheer gaming power , plus it then sort of justifies the price for it via the look of components. However having the choice to make different sized builds is good as it allows even more customisation for the consumer. Plus IDE love to have a mini/micro ATX build for like a LAN party machine or something

I love XL motherboards, they feel in the gap of the empty space in the case. For me it is the fact that when you are showing off your rig you can see more of the motherboard it's self :)

ATX is the standard size, so there's a lot more aftermarket things that are made to fit/go with ATX. That's why ATX builds tend to look the best (In my opinion.) But it's interesting to see how people make things fit when using a gigantic motherboard and case. If they have to drill holes in their case, they're doing it right.

I personally LOVE mITX builds, and not the huge mATX sized cases like the Prodigy, like actually tiny builds. Even the node 304 is edging on the "too big" for me. Maybe I just got tired of building the same ATX build over and over.

My personal favorite cases at the moment are the Lian-Li PC-Q02 and PC-Q03. Now THAT is a challenge not many people have braved.

Do you prefer Mini itx builds even if you don't need to be very mobile?

Don't get me wrong, My main PC is an ATX build in an NZXT Source 210. Lately I've just gotten the inspiration to build PC's with the same performance as a full size ATX build with a waaay smaller footprint...

...and they're easier to manage on top of a desk too :]

I'm building a 350D build here soon for my first build, it's not small in any stretch of the imagination but i love the look of it.

M ITX

Also... ATX in a small case. You don't need a blunder bus case. If you want custom watercooling then be creative.

oh! your first build! awesome! good luck on it. I'd definitely recommend an mATX to start :D

Build that system with a lot of love. As you keep building systems in the future you'll start doing it by feel then by using the manual.

Best of luck to you :]
