hey guys i'm new to the PC and i was in need of anyone's assistance. I would like to keep my budget under $800 (that's Australian dollars). I've already made a build with my friend and he said it's fine but can anyone look over it to make sure. I use the website www.pccasegear.com

You're going to want to go with an AMD build here, maybe something like an FX 4100 and a 7950.

look at an FX 6300 or 8320 (if you can fit it in) as they offer better performance compared to an i3. Also try and get a 7850/7870 more powerful then a gtx 650. SSD's are worth it as well...

6300 is like $30 more...

True, if he can afford it he should definitely go for that. But I would make the priority the 7950, since that will make the biggest difference while he's gaming.
