New headset: STEELSERIES 5H V2 or SIBERIA V2

SneakyFox
Go to solution Solved by SneakyFox,

I ended up buying a pair of 5H V2's. They were on sale (Cheap).

Thank you for the advice and recommendations

Compared to the Siberia V2's my first thoughts are (This is a my opinion. It is OK if you do not agree):

5H V2 are NOT good for music compared to Siberia V2

5H V2 are VERY good for gaming. A little bit better than my Siberia V2's

Siberia V2 are much more comforrtable

Update: ~3 months later

I constantly have to adjust the 5H V2's

Siberia V2 are so much more comforrtable

I have a Asus Xonar DGX 5.1 soundcard and will use the headphones for gaming.

I have a pair of V2's today and love them, but are the sound better in the 5H V2's ?

Aint gonna be a big difference in sound between headsets when you compare them to good headphones. I wouldn't bother "upgrading" unless you have a problem with what you've got.

To answer the question: stick with the Sibera V2s. Not worth spending more on a 5H.

If you want an upgrade to sound quality. get better headphones + modmic as the others have suggested.
