I am ordering a new case and the case fans/CPU cooler tomorrow. The case of choice is a NZXT S340. Will most likely be running a 4690k with a Hyper 212, GTX 970 (blower style fan). What would be the optimal cooling solution/airflow for me? 5$ per Arctic Cooling F12 120mm atm as well.

Stock cooling is fine mate.

However, those F12 fans produce little to no airflow (i have them) so i'd invest in noctua's (not sure which model).

Aww really? Looking at the specs it didn't seem bad at all, and they were only a fourth of the price of a Noctua.. :<

Yeah afraid so, they do the job for me but i didnt have any preinstalled fans.

So i would probably have a Dual 140mm set up in the front and a 140mm at the back or top.

But tbh i probably wouldnt bother, I'd put the money into something else and if i have temp problems then i would change up the fans.

But i wouldnt worry about it.

Why do you think they were so cheap? If you don't want to invest much in Noctuas then get some Noiseblockers or be quiet! Pure Wings 2 or Silverstone Air Penetrators.

Yeah but looking at the specs they seemed fine, and they were the best selling on the retailer website I was looking at. Would it be necessary with more than the stock ones? (2x120mm 1 front 1 back)

Arctic F12's produce just as much airflow as any of the other mentioned fans--they're just not as quiet.

Fan specs aren't really reliable. Stick to benchmarks instead.

Arctic F12's are very middle-of-the-road and aren't bad. I'd suggest sticking with stock fans and seeing how they fare before looking at aftermarket options.

Sound is not really much of an issue to me.

Yeah I suppose anything is better, currently running a mATX case with a single 120mm intake fan in front of the HDD bay, and it sucks bigtime.
