Go to solution Solved by techguru,

So I shouldn't need the Windows activation key?

nope

cause you already activated 10

So i have an Acer laptop (idk make or model) I was selling the laptop so I went on it to restore it to remove all my personal info when I did that. It was at 1% for about 3 hours then restarted when it restarted it went to the Acer page it pulls up right b4 loading Windows. I can't get it to go into safe mode from pressing F8 or shift F8 while it is booting. I can only get into the Bios. I know just a little about computer but am at a full lose on how to fix this. Was suppose to met the guy to sell at Noon tomorrow and I work all night. So unless I can get help here I'm out $150 and a laptop. It used Windows 8.1 when purchased it about 8 months ago I upgraded to Windows 10.

Side note- Windows 10 has caused me nothing but problems, When I upgraded my desktop to windows 10 I got a Blue screen and had to revert back to windows 8.1 now I keep getting errors and blue screens on the desktop.

So if I don't have a disc or anything I'm fucked?

you already installed windows 10

so all you have to do is download the windows 10 iso ..burn it to a usb stick and do a clean install of it

Make sure you format that drive before you install Win too. It should prompt you. Delete any partitions. Depending on how obsessive you are about deleting any personal data from the drive before you sell it, you can also run DBAN to wipe the drives, and then proceed with your Windows Install.
