"accidentally touched my case fan with a piece of paper" I wonder how you managed it... anyhow if it is ticking then most likely you have damaged it :/

i was testing if it was in the correct way so the paper would get sucked towards the inside of case if it was correct which it was. How will i know if its stuffed? also i think its a corsair 140mm

I wouldn't have thought a piece of paper would damage a fan, have you turned the pc off and on or unplugged the fan and plugged it back in to see if the ticking noise has stopped

I have stuck my finger into the case fan for fun.. it didnt hurt it at all.  check to see if there are wires in fan housing itself clipping the fan blades.  this happens sometimes.  you might have to pull the wires a bit to stop them from touching the fan.

It shouldn't have caused any issues. I have touched several of my fans with my hand and they were fine.

Just take it out from case, plug it into psu and turn pc on. Then listen if it makes that noise by itself. If not, then theres something touching it inside case or getting into way of airflow. Or that can be resonation between fan and case.
