Also should I worry about the reallocated sectors?

HD from 2006. So broke can't afford a new one ATM. Looking for options.

nearly 10 years... 8.3 of which it was on. I think it's done you a great service, but i think it's now entering retirement.

Replacement is really the only option.

That HDD has little cache and because of that it is slow. My laptop HDD does exactly the same thing.

So guys. Seeing as this one is ready to bite the bullet so to speak. What would be a better option for a primary drive. 256gb SSD or 2x120gb SSD in Raid 0. Cost wise the single SSD will be cheaper. However will the Raid 0 setup performance gain be worth it?

lol I thought you said you were broke.

I'd take the single tbh, either will be much, much faster than this, and 2 in Raid 0 means at least twice the points of failure

Income tax + Planning ahead. Already upgrading to a i7 2600k a friend sold me. He also gave me his old video cards, pair of 6870's, that I can run. Just need a couple HD's and I am good. So looking at options now.

Edit: Was also looking at the GTX 960 strix 4gb for an upgrade to those cards. But don't know if I am in a rush for that.

Thought about buying an SSD? Also, have you defragmented it lately?

Defrag 6 days ago. Buying a SSD comes in the near future. Month or two. 850 evo. Just need to figure out the size.
