There are so few games that support crossfire, fewer yet that have profiles.

Get the 390.

So few games? Name one. Most modern titles support Crossfire, and the ones that don't are so old you don't even need two GPUs to run them smoothly.

And it's not whether games support Crossfire, it's whether or not the game takes advantage of it.

Fallout 4

Just Cause 3

GTA V

MechWarrior Online

War Thunder

Mad Max

Rainbow Six Siege

Ark

I really could go on and on. I answered yours, now answer mine. Name one game that's come out in the last 4 months that not only has a Crossfire profile, but needs it? You only have to name one.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Interesting. I thought all of those games would support Crossfire just fine.

"support" is a fancy way of saying you can get the same fps with two gpus as you do with one. I can run both in Fallout 4 if I force it, but I run the exact same fps as with just the 390. I've tried every game I've gotten my hands on and not a single game will show an improvement with crossfire. I really wish I could use it in MechWarrior as I run that in 1440. Haven't had an issue with just the 390 but I wouldn't mind jumping to 4k to get rid of the jaggies.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

So there's a fuzzy line between 'support' and 'optimization'.

No, the line is actually quite clear. You gain fps using more than one GPU or you don't. Radeon made a big deal about Crimson, so where's the crossfire support? Why should I have more than one card? Just to say I can hit ridiculous number in synthetic benchmarks? That's stupid. I'm holding onto them for now and giving Radeon time to get their head out of their ass and make crossfire something worth investing in. But at the moment there isn't a reason to crossfire.
