Do I need a license to build and sell PCs

So I'm going to college next year and to help pay for some of it I want to build PCs for people, whether they're a build I recommend for people who don't want to think about what has to go into a build or just put together a build with parts people pick if they don't have the time or don't want to assemble a build. Do I need to get re-seller permission from manufacturers or am I in the clear to do this?

Just make sure that you get a good cut. It's too easy to cut too many deals and not make money in the end.

 

Spend time doing a great job on the little details (cable management ehhem) and your customers will be much more happy (and willing to give you their money).

From my experience that's decently easy to get in Ontario

No need for a license, but you'd need to give out receipts to pay taxes on what you sell and if you set up a shop, you need a business license for that regardless.

What you need more is a business mindset, even though it's not a business, if you intend to make money.

 

You need to be able to convince the people who are interested in buying pre-builts to go with you over the pre-built.
