New Build - Won't Turn On

jpguitar

Hey everyone,

So, my system won't turn on.  Here's some basic info:

MOBO:  Z97N-Wifi

Case:  Corsair 380T

Power Supply:  Corsair cx750m

The "Start/Stop" button on my Corsair 380t is lighting up when I flick the On switch of the power supply, but when I press that "Start/Stop" button, nothing happens.

Should be noted that the USB Front Panel port on the MOBO has a broken pin.  Other than that, everything should be working, to the best of my knowledge.

I have 7 days to return anything back to Micro Center, so it isn't the end of the world if something's unsalvageable.  Figured I'd give it a shot first, though.

Any suggestions?

Erm... what are the rest of the specs? Not nearly enough info.

Does ANYTHING happen? Beeps? Fan spins? Ect.

Make sure the PSU switch is ON and not OFF.

Make sure EVERYTHING is plugged in. Just double check, even if you are SURE of it.

bypass the case. use a screw driver to touch the "+" & "-" to power on the PC. if it doesnt work. the mobo is the problem.

Nope, nothing.  Only thing on is the Start/Stop button on the case.

I'm gonna try & return the MOBO.

Take the sticks of RAM out and see if any BEEPS happen. Like take all the ram out and try and bootup.

remove the gpu and one of the ram sticks. lower the amount of variables. then try booting and adding one at a time back

try also returning the psu. if it is faulty, do not get the same ,get something better, since the cx is designed for home/office builds, not gaming-overclocking rigs

The site has changed....

Hey everyone,

I returned the MOBO and am starting a new build, which then presented a new problem.  Will post new topic.
