Computer keeps restarting itself, need help!

So as the title says, my parents computer keeps restarting itself randomly... After awhile me and my brother have now replaced all parts in the computer except for the RAM and Graphics card, and it's still doing it! After replacing the power supply I was certain it would fix it.

Is it possible for faulty RAM or Graphics card to cause this?

Any ideas?

If you've ruled out hardware, that leaves a software issue.  Have you tried booting an ubuntu live USB or something like that to see if it still does it?  If it doesn't, that's your problem and I would reinstall windows (assuming you are using windows)

We upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.

Sorry if this is insulting (not meant to be) but is it possible it's just installing updates?  It will take the liberty of just restarting when it needs to (although they have made improvements in trying to not do this while you are in the middle of a game)

It's been doing this for months. But today I did notice a 'fail to install updates' message, could this be the problem?

It would give that message (generally) after finishing its reboot only to realize it didn't work, so it gives weight to the theory that it is just rebooting to do updates.

Still, I would be curious to know how it handles a different OS temporarily.  It would confirm whether it is a software or hardware issue.
