The V300 SSD is very slow for an SSD.

Kingston V300 is meh

:(

The V300 SSD is very slow for an SSD.

I asked somebody and they've approve it. I guess they were wrong. shoot.

Its fine but you might upgrade later or buy another identical V300 and run it in RAID 0

Overall a nice build! I'm sure you'll enjoy it :)

I'd have maybe asked the questions about part selection before you purchased it though ;)

 

A few things I'd change:

  • Kingston V300 SSD to something else - it's slow
  • The 2 8GB kits of RAM to 1 16GB kit - when they're sold as a kit, they're tested to make sure they 'match'
  • Wouldn't have bothered with the fans and instead spent more on the case
  • Power supply is meh, but it'll do. Not awful.

Overall a really nice build though! Hopefully you grace us with a Build Guide :)

It'll be a solid rig, that's for sure.

when you would like to upgrade OS storage drive, just clone contents onto another faster SSD
