Why is my core clockspeed so low in arma 3? i get the same fps with the r9 as i did with the hd 7870

everything is at stock settings, no overclocking,

im getting the data from msi afterburner

I have tried tweaking with startup parameters, settings in windows and ingame

Temperatures are rock solid at

GPU 50C

CPU 46C

Running Arma 3, ultra settings, multiplayer (same results with LOW, STANDARD and HIGH settings)

20-30fps

300-400mhz core clockspeed (gpu)

1500mhz memory clockspeed (gpu)

cpu 30-40% load

Valley Benchmark

40fps average

300-1000mhz core clockspeed (heavily fluctuating)

1500mhz memory clockspeed

cpu 80-95% load

Resident evil 6 benchmark

50-60 fps avg

800-1000mhz core clockspeed

1500mhz memory clockspeed

cpu 80% load

Assasins creed black flag

60 fps

500-900mhz core clockspeed

1500mhz memory clockspeed

cpu 60-85% load

System:

Win 7

AMD apu a10 6800k 4.1-4.4

kingston hyperx 1866mhz ddr3 8gb (2x4gb)

crucial m100 512gb SSD

GA-F2A88XM-D3H motherboard

coolermaster v850 850W PSU

Sapphire Radeon R9 390 Nitro 8gb

hopefully someone can point me in the right direction, because i am lost as a cat in the middle of the atlantic.

I feel like your CPU is bottlenecking your gpu but im probably wrong

I thought that but the load is only 40% apparently.

Which 390? Help us to help you.

It's the Sapphire Radeon R9 390 Nitro 8GB, he wrote it in the post.

there is no way I dont think that isnt a huge bottleneck though

I made an edit.

40% CPU usage doesn't mean there isn't a bottle neck. But I wouldn't jump to that conclusion until everything else is looked into. Like trying different drivers.

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Arma III runs like crap on anything you throw at it, that's the problem.  But yes, a better CPU would certainly help.

An A10 APU with R9-390 is pretty unbalance. You need better CPU, probably i5 or Skylake i3.

Arma3 run like shit on 99% of hardware configuration.
