nvidia vs AMD

should give you the answer but basically it depends on preference at certain price points higher like i7 pricing its best to go intel.

Depends what particular components versus what. But I'm leaning towards Intel for CPU and AMD for GPU. But then again, I can't really choose between two bloody companies that make good shit.

1. AMD for cores, Intel for architecture.

2. Wait for 9000 series for better optimization.

oh darn.. not this thread again..

(I was hoping we could go a week without someone creating another AMD vs Intel/Nvidia thread..)

I can't really answer your question without making really terrible generalizations about stuff because it all kind of depends on your budget and needs.

(oh, and if you're talking about performance, price is a BIG issue..)

Anywhoo, at the moment Intel offers the fastest CPUs, and Nvidia offers the fastest (single GPU) cards..

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

Well if price really isn't an issue, AT THIS EXACT MOMENT IN TIME, intel and nvidia have the best performing parts.

in the duel gpu race at the moment yes but you simply can't compare something like a 7990 to a 780 ones a single gpu card...

Sure you can . Since the guy said he wants performance over price/performance. Not to mention the Titan is nvidias flagship and it gets destroyed by the 7990. Let's compare the 2 shall we ? 7990 is 700$ the titan is 1000$. Why can't we compare the two ?

2 gpus always beat one its not a fair battle compare Nvidia's single gpu 780 to a 7970 guess which gets destroyed at the moment compare a 7990 to a titan of course its going to win its single vs dual if you put another gk110 on the titan and call it a Titan X2 well the 7990 is probably going to have a fight on its hand if that existed.

And if I had a million bucks I would be rich.

Wait for the 9K series , I'm curious how nvidia will beat that since they can't even beat the already existing card.

-_- the already existing comparison you just made is NOT a fair fight one has another gpu... what part of that do you not get?!?

If you don't care about prices then it's best to go for Intel + AMD combination.

Not trying to be mean but the CoC dictates that signatures be no longer than 3 lines.

You can have 4 Titan and only 2 7990.

So, in that sense, Nvidia is superior. That's what they mean. A 7990 is two 7970, and a Titan is superior to a 7970

How is nvidia superior :))? 4 titans =4K $ . 2 7990s = 1400$. Get 4x 7990  = 2800$ ( 1.2K$ cheaper ) and rape the titans.

And with two 7990, you how how much frame runts and dropped frames? Sure, you get her FPS but with Titans it's smoother.

Here's the thing , hopefully Coombzy and Terminashunator will understand , 1 x titan is 1K$ 1x 7990 is 700 .

7990 performs better and it's cheaper . <- There's the answer for the maker of this thread.

OP was asking about performance, not price. When it comes to price, yes AMD is a better deal. If you're willing to compromise.
