BLACK SCREEN (NOT BLUE)

People

My computer freezes (black screen not blue one) whever I play video... I removed the power cables for the gpu and tried it on motherboard's DP and it's working fine..

Well after that I know that there is something wrong with the gpu or relating to it.. but donm't know what..

Specs

i7 4770K

AMD R9 290 tri-X OC 4GB

8GB

2TB

ASUS Z87-K

CORSAIR RM 750

pls help.. it's annoying..

WELL IS THIS  DUE TO WINDOWs 10?

I've also  updated all the drivers and stuff.. even reinstalled windows...

Could there be the problem with the PSU or MOTHERBOARD coz I got my GPU replaced 2 months ago..

Did you overwrite win 7 when installing win 10 (aka you installed win 7 from disk first when trying to re install, then accepted the upgrade)

I have about the same problem, and overwriting win 7 causes a LOT of problems, so thats probably whats giving you the black screen

Also try down clocking you GPU and CPU to stock speeds
