gtx 660 not wanting to overclock

ive got the msi gtx 660 and when overclocking system stops posting if i put the core clock to +25 or more. i then have to reset system.

 

specs: i5 4460

           gigabyte h81m-ds2

           8gb hyper x ram

           gtx 660 twin frozr 3

           and a 450w psu

 

maybe its the psu, how im doing it or just "luck of the draw"

That's just how GTX 660's are. I've had one, didn't overclock at all basically. You can't do much about it unless you want to do something with GPU BIOS which isn't advised.

thanks and also on stock clocks gta v  crashes to fix this would i turn down the clocks? to fix this or turn the in game settings down a tad
