Mass Effect Collection or Dead Space Pack?

So with these cyber Monday deals on steam I am trying to get my hands on some cool loot.  I am limiting myself to $40 and am trying to get as many games as possible.  My final total was $53 and change so I am removing some games.  I can't decide weather I should get the Mass Effect Collection or Dead Space Pack.  (both contain the first 2 games of each series and are $8.75).  Any thoughts?

Dead Space!

Some of my favorite games, and one bad one.

 

Sounds like if you like RPGs you should get Mass Effect, if you like Resident evil 4, then you should get Dead Space

 

DS's PC port has a bug where vsync is busted, use vsync off, and use nvidia vsync or put a framecap on through msi afterburner

 

Also the QTEs run at double speed at 60 FPS is another thing you should consider, its not unplayable by any means, but it is an issue. Also use nvidia AA or DSR to improve image quality.

There is some QTEs in Dead Space, where you have to press a button to avoid damage, you take damage per frame, so at 60FPS you take more damage.

I've played both but I'm a sucker for Mass Effect. I finished it 21 times. Dead Space is also good but it's not as sci-fi-y as ME.

Well do you like longer games or shorter ones? Dead Space is a relatively short linear game, Mass Effect definitely has more content. Its a totally different beast though.

ME gets my vote too, though I like DS, ME is one of my favourites

Ridiculous Bad. Worse Ending in Gaming History and a slap in the Face. But all before is epic.

Dead Space 1+2 are very good Games too. You should play them. Realy good Horror Moments.

I just wanna say, I got the synth ending, and I loved it. One of the best endings ever.

As much as I love Mass Effect 2, I think Dead Space 1 + 2 add up to a better set of games than ME1 + ME2. Honestly, all of the above have been subject to massive price cuts in the past and will again in the future.

 

They aren't really similar in terms of genre or gameplay mechanics… I would think it would be fairly easy to decide which is more interesting to you personally.
