New PSU has wrong wall plug.

just get another cable at your local hardwere store, should be fine. or you could get an adapter

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

you can order one easily or get one locally. 

 

Make sure the switch on the back is set to the correct voltage, as it likely shipped flipped for US plugs. I mean you might have known but it's easy to miss.

i thought all modern psus got rid of the 120v/240v switch?

well then to my understanding if you buy an adapter youll be fine :)
