TellTale Explanation?

Go to solution Solved by Scionyde,

For the Borderland or GoT one, If I buy it would I get like Season 1,2,  etc..?

Not fully clear on what you're asking, but when you buy a game you only get that season. For example:

The Walking Dead Season One (Episodes 1-5)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/207610/

The Walking Dead Season Two (Episodes 1-5)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/261030/

Buy the game, and you get 5 episodes. When a sequel (new season) comes out, it's a different game, so you'll need to buy that game as well. Hope that's clear.

Anyway, if you're interested, my personal recommendations are The Walking Dead (Season One) and Tales from the Borderlands as the best games Telltale has done so far.

On PC at least, if you buy a Telltale game, you get all the episodes for that season (usually 5, but 6 in the case of GoT). Even if you buy it when only one episode has been released, you'll gain access to the others as they show up.

That's pretty neat :o. So we're basically buying something like a "season pass" :3?

I guess you answered half of what I was tryiong to explain. What I mean is that since I don't see other Seasons for "Tales from the Borderlands", does that mean that if I buy the current one on sale would I have the previous seasons included too?

Tales from the Borderlands only has one 5-episode season, so that's all you're able to buy (and you get all 5 episodes when you buy it). If they do a sequel - a second season - you do not get that automatically, and would have to purchase it.

EDIT: In case I'm still being a little confusing: Season = Game. Within a game/season, there are 5 episodes that all come with the game/season.

Currently, Game of Thrones only has one season/game (with 6 episodes within, in contrast to other Telltale games which have 5). However, I've read that they're greenlit for a second season/game to be released sometime next year, probably.

As for the others:

The Walking Dead has 2 seasons.

The Wolf Among Us has 1 season.

Tales from the Borderlands has 1 season.
