Hi, I am planning to do my first PC build. Right now i have a Hp laptop that is just not cutting it, although it it relatively new. I have a YouTube channel, and do gaming so i need something more powerful. Here is the components i am choosing for my first PC build. All i know about building PC's is from Linus Tech Tips, as well as other YouTubers. I have never done this so if you have any suggestions or tips please let me know!

SSD:  Samsung 850 PRO 128GB

Power Supply: Corsair CX600 CP-9020048-US 600W

Graphics Card: Gigabyte AMD R9 380 256 Bit GDDR5 4GB

Cooler: Either stock or the Cooler Master V8 GTS - High Performance CPU Cooler, please let me know which to go with.

CPU: AMD FD6300WMHKBOX FX-6300 6-Core

Fans: Corsair Air Series SP120, or stock case fans

Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB Kit

Possibly a hard drive:  1TB SATA-III

Wifi Card, disk drive,

Is this all I will need? I already have a monitor (Hp Pavilion 22cw) so am i all set? I have not bought anything yet, but I plan to soon. Thanks!

Rip night theme users.

Things that are helpful for us to know;

Price point (i.e. budget)

What you need (do you need a keyboard for example? Or just a system?)

Any preferences (intel vs amd, blue vs red, etc.)

I'd definitely recommend something more than one 128gb drive. A 128gb SSD for a boot drive a 1TB HDD would be a good pairing. If you can not afford both, get the HDD. 128gb alone is not enough for someone doing videos for YT.

"Normandy" i7 4790K - GTX 970 - Phantom 410 (Gun metal) - Z97 Extreme4 (asrock) - 128GB Crucial SSD - 1TB WD HDD - H60 Refurb. - 7 case fans | G710+ Keyboard, G230 Headset, Acer GN246HL Monitor.

Quick thoughts on system: I7 is extremely quick and I'm glad I spent the extra for hyper-threading. I regret my decision to get the GTX 970, it has horrible coil whine. There isn't any excuse for this terrible whine I and others are having. I HIGHLY recommend a 144hz monitor. Future Improvements/upgrades: Rubber fan mounts, basic speakers, more ram (for a total of 16gb), replace GPU.

144hz is love. 144hz is life. I like to submit unfinished posts then do about 20 edits. I like the Night Theme too.

Budget: Under $1000 US Preferably around 750-800

I have a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.

I prefer AMD, since it is cheaper, and is what i have now. #teamred

I am planning on getting a 1tb hard drive, along with the SSD.

Do you need an os? Cause if you don't galactic ruler's build up there ⬆️⬆️ looks purty good to me.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

I am going to go with the SSD, HHD, and probably the power supply from this build. SO i am probably going to go with the gigabyte GA-970A and the AMD FX 6300 or 4130. Also maybe the R9 390 or 380.

Even if the AMD processor has more cores, Intel's fake cores still beat them. That Xeon is going to be much better for video editing and gaming than the FX.

True, but that is a 4th of the budget i want to spend. I'm going for $800-850 US. The FX on amazon is $90

I still want to go with an AMD processor. I might consider an intel, but I have an AMD now, and my setup is red and silver. I will use some of the other parts though. Maybe a more powerful AMD?

Also the less expensive the better, so it can go under 800 if possible.
