Hey guys I'm thinking of starting bitcoin mining and I was looking at purchasing the Antminer S7 – B3 – 4.86THs for £800 how much does this earn a day or I'd

F there is any cheaper way to get this kind of money and help would be appreciated

Don't bother.

Bitcoin mining isn't really profitable anymore unless you own a Chinese Bitcoin farm (Which I doubt you do).

You'd lose money, and it would be a long time before you'd break even, and that's if your electricity is free.

Hey guys I'm thinking of starting bitcoin mining and I was looking at purchasing the Antminer S7 – B3 – 4.86THs for £800 how much does this earn a day or I'd

F there is any cheaper way to get this kind of money and help would be appreciated

here is a link to a calculator that will tell you how much you will earn a day.

keep in mind it does not take difficulty increases into account (you will make less and less money as time goes by ).

The main thing that determins if bitcoin mining is profitable for you is how much electricity you pay for your miner and how much you earn .

So if i earn 1000£ per year , but i pay 3000£ in electricity to mine , obviously it is not profitable.

That is why gpu mining is not profitable anymore , as they are not energy efficient enough for the owner to make money.

The main concern here is energy efficiency.

Professionnal miners care less about the cost of the hardware than how much it costs to run.

It gets harder and harder to mine bitcoin , so more and more powerful miner are made , but they have to use less power , too.

Just make sure you aren't making money by taking it out of other people's pockets (ie :parents , landlord etc)

Anyway at current difficulty that miner pulls around £20 a week however that's with a cost of £30 in power consumption which given you're 13 I assume you don't pay- however I expect your parents will notice their power bill being £120 higher each month.

 

Although the difficulty does go up rapidly and profits go down. You're about 3 years too late to the BTC scene.
