So ive installed a security system in my company wich we can access over the internet.

My ISP blocks access over port 80 (Cant change that for now) so ive set it to port 81.

Whenever im at home i can go to that ip with port 81 and it connects with no problem.

But when i connect to the same server over LTE it does not connect.

Im using EagleEyes as my mobile viewer.

My network setup is kind of complicated both my home are on the same line but with different external Ip adresses. and diffrent contracts.

So my ip adress of home and work is only 2 digits diffrent.

Anyone know how to solve this

You might to check on your ISP their port blocking list for mobile networks.

And you might even want to test disabling to 3G and see whether it makes any difference.

If the above doesn't help then you might want to try using a VPN to test for other variables.

My first guess is probably the mobile company is using a proxy that only supports a particular list of ports. Try moving your service to 8080 and that may work.

Why Would a VPN Work here?

Check that your server on port 81 or 8080 works from other places, like from a coffee shop. It might be that your ISP is blocking more ports than you think, but you are able to connect to your work because your home is on the same network node - in other words, maybe port 81 or 8080 are blocked further upstream in the ISP's network.

If you can show that it doesn't work from any outside location, not just LTE, then call your ISP, because a user with a business account should be able to host and use whatever they want.

If you narrow it down to just LTE/cellular, try other carriers (borrow friends phones). If it is blocked on all carriers, call your ISP. If it is blocked on just your carrier, call your carrier.

It is to test whether the application has full support for the country you are in, it sounds funny to be testing that but that is just to eliminate variables.

try a ftp server and client..and see if it will connect

you may have to play around to find a working port

but its should be quicker to test the ftp..then the remote login

if you do find a working port..then use that for the web server

If you need remote help fixing something on your computer

I can help over Teamviewer if you wish

just msg me on my profile
