So I have 4 DIMM slots filled in my PC.

2x4GB is 2666Mhz and 2x4GB is 2133Mhz.

Cpu-Z says the kits run at those speeds, different speeds for each kit and my task manager somehow says the speed of the dimms are 2400Mhz

So, at which RAM speeds do they actually run? It surprised me that I didn't get any problems at all so maybe are they all four clocked to 2400Mhz somehow or what is going on?

It runs fine but it feels weird having those mixed numbers everywhere.

What do you think?

It may be overclocking one set to be 2400 and underclocking one set to 2400 :o IM very suprised you did not get any errors.

I'd go with CPU-Z Mem pages for your info to be reliable, not using Task manager EVER for reliable stats... It said I had a 5GHZ CPU at the time of having a 3.6Ghz one in there,....goddammit I wish that were true....

Task Manager isn't accurate at all, across many systems.

CPU-Z's Memory Tab should shed more reliable light on the subject. (And you can see each stick and what its set to)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Don't worry about the SPD tab in CPU-Z. That's not your actual speed. It's more of a collection of (possibly) optimal settings saved in the Serial Presence Detect chip by the manufacturer. To oversimplify, those settings should work if all else fails. But in the case of overclocked RAM, it's not uncommon for all else but what's marketed to fail. Your actual speed is on the 'Memory' tab in CPU-Z. Keep in mind that it's showing the physical speed of the Double Data Rate DIMM, not the data transfer speed.
