Hi,

I did some research and hopefully this build is better then previous one I posted on here. Previous budget was £400. I've done looking around and taking bits of other peoples builds just to figure out what's best. I changed my budget to £700-800. So far my build is:

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£174.99 @ Amazon UK)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler  (£24.99 @ Amazon UK)
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£109.99 @ Ebuyer)
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Red 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory  (£50.99 @ Ebuyer)
Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (£35.95 @ Amazon UK)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive  (£39.09 @ Amazon UK)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB FTW ACX Video Card  (£103.99 @ Ebuyer)
Case: Aerocool 500 White Midi Tower  (£31.98)
Power Supply: Corsair CX 430W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  (£39.99 @ Amazon UK)
SAMSUNG S24E510C Full HD 24" Curved LED Monitor (£148.99)

Total: £611.96 Or with Monitor £760.95

This build is mainly for gaming but on the side I enjoy some web surfing and music. I'm not sure when I will buy these parts but maybe today (black friday) or Cyber Monday. Also what's best fans? I'm looking for something that isn't so pricey but provides good air flow and is quiet, and the graphics card what are your thoughts on it.

Why on earth would you get a 750ti ?

Get this GPU: http://www.amazon.co.uk/MSI-R7-370-Gaming-Graphics/dp/B00ZPOD71A/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1448633662&sr=8-2&keywords=amd+R9+370

Wouldn't it be a good idea to spend a little less on your monitor and a little more on your GPU?

To be honest instead of investing in fans, i'd go for a better gpu. The 750ti is pretty weak.... like it will be a serious bottleneck for that CPU.

The 950 beats the 370 in every benchmark.  Plus AMD is bad.

Shaders and texture units are pretty important for games (and AMD has more of those).

And let's not start an nvidia <-> AMD war ^_^

AMD IS NOT BAD! They're 390 beats the 970 at a lower price, for example.

Yeah okay fine they have 1 or 2 cards which outperform the nvidia counterparts, at the cost of more heat, worst driver support in general, and less features (although gameworks currently is a mess in most new titles i admit).

Just about every other card gets wiped out. Not starting a war, just stating facts here.

why is AMD bad? because you are Nvidia fan boy?

No because I always go for the best components I can. Hence why AMD is out of the question for me.

that's nice, i wish i could be like you

but some people don't have that big budgets

and for those, AMD is usually best option

Man I work my ass off to get what I have, but I know what you are saying, I used to have an AMD system too which I kept for 5 years!

If budget isn't an issue for people, then there is no reason to go AMD that's all I am trying to say. I respect both brands equally but they have their spot on the chart.

i know, i agree with you

i currently only have a part time job, since i'm still in college

and i can't wait the day when i'll get my first job, because then i will build myself a monster just like yours ;)

Sorry but could we stay on topic. I'm getting mixed opinions and unsure on what everyone here is going. I don't mind going less on monitor, just what about the graphics card?

depending on your budget for one, Either a Sapphire 380 or 380X or if you want cheaper I'd go Nvidia with the GTX 950 from EVGA. Your choice. Just get rid of that 750ti it's ancient

R9 380 better than GTX960

R9 390 better than GTX 970

R9 390X is same as GTX 980 (because variety of games)

R9 Fury better than GTX 980

GTX 980ti better than R9 FuryX

Don't forget AMD just updated their drivers. While Nvidia Drivers are getting worse.

AMD comes with HBM. Guess who comes with HBM2?

I'm not a AMD nor a Nvidia fan, just saying. Save some money and get the R9 380 instead, why? because it's simply just better than The GTX 960.

I'm going off from people recommendations. Is there a reason to not get V300?

Well I don't know if they fixed it, but they pulled a controller switch awhile back. Made it alot slower than advertised. If there's nothing else around the price point, just get it.
