280x has 3gb and 380 either 2 or 4gb of vram. Witch is better?

technically the 280X is faster

 

but the 380 is a newer GPU and supports DX12

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
