I would like better sound quality for both my mic and my headset, I have a Triton Kunai headset and an Audio Technica ATR2100 USB mic. any reccomendations?

Might be able to get a decent Asus STX 2nd hand for a bit less than that, but it is a bit much for those headphones. A new Asus Xonar DX might do, and with 7.1 as an option it means if you ever want to use speakers (or do already) you can get a sweet surround setup

You can't bet better quality for the mic, because it is USB. And that headset won't benefit from an upgraded source unless you are getting noise or interference with your current on-board audio.

You won't be getting better sound from that headset, it is a cheaply built, over-marketed headset just like the rest of the gaming brands out there (Razer, Astro, Triton, Psyko, MadCatz, TurtleBeach, Plantronics, etc.). If you want better sound quality, get a quality headset or more preferable, headphones.

 

Since you have a USB mic, I don't see a reason for a headset. So take a look at the Creative Aurvana Live!, Takstar Pro80, and NVX XPT100 for $100 and under.
