Gaming Eye Wear?

IvanSnipedYu

Do they actually work? Like lower eye strain? Should I purchase one if I had extra money laying around?

BTW they are on sale at woot right now.

I haven't tried a pair due to being so blind I have to wear prescription 24/7, I'd go for it if something you do is sit by the computer the majority of your waking hours. I have a few friends who own a pair and they say it reduces eye strain but it's strange for  to not wear them when they're on their computers because it has a slight magnification.

Alright, I guess I'll just forget about buying these glasses then. I am wearing prescription glasses so wearing 2 layers of glasses will probably just strain my eyes more.

What about this thing: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/woodenshark/lightpack-ambient-backlight-for-your-displays

Not sure how effective it is and what the reasoning behind it is. The best thing you can do is look out your windows every 20 min or so. And don't forget to blink.
