4K on 1080p?

I know recently NVDIA GeForce Experience has a new feature that you can play 4K at a 1080p monitor. The only thing I don't get it is the benchmark will be at 4K resolution? If yes then if I put a 980Ti in my system then I will get some good frames right?

Scaling will be horrible.. DansGame

Visual improvement is minimal and your frames will take a huge hit.

Not worth it imo.

I have DSR on for GTA V and I can totally see a difference on the edges of things. But the performance goes way down and DO NOT HIT shift tap and go to windows. It can get stuck in 4K and everything will be so small and unreadable

I know recently NVDIA GeForce Experience has a new feature that you can play 4K at a 1080p monitor. The only thing I don't get it is the benchmark will be at 4K resolution? If yes then if I put a 980Ti in my system then I will get some good frames right?

 

If you use DSR to upsample games to 4K on a 1080p monitor, the benchmarks will be exactly the same results as if you were actually playing at 4K.
