Hey y'all !!

 

Im thinking of using HitFilm 3 Express for video editing, however don't see it on any blogs "top" lists

 

Anyone have thoughts on it?

Any other recommendations for free software?

Never used it myself, but I've heard good things about it.  Two other relative free NLE systems I can recommend are Lightworks Free and DaVinci Resolve 12 free.

Edit: It seems like a great editing program. I still havent figured out what their business model is.

It only lets you export to youtube.

I have multiple MP4s exported with it.

IDK why it's not letting you.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Hmm, in this case give DaVinci Resolve 12 a try before HitFilms.  It's nearly as capable as the full paid version with certain features disabled.

You haven't activated your copy of Hitfilm, the demo version doesn't allow exporting anywhere except for YouTube.

Indeed. Previously it was having trouble activating. At one point, it stopped prompting me for activation, so i thought i'd done it. I didn't use it for a while, so i just assumed that they'd changed it, because giving away an entire program like this seems a little... generous.

 

TLDR; I relinked my email and it worked.

It's ez to get full copy.

It literally just asks what you're going to use it for and sends you an email with an activation code.
