Be Quiet! Pure Wings 2

dylSELC.jpg

Be quiet!, introduces its next generation of entry level fans: Pure Wings 2. With new fan blades and rifle bearing technology, it is quieter than ever, producing a maximum of 19.2 dB(A). With the new Pure Wings 2 fan series, be quiet! sets a new standard for the price-performance-ratio of PC case fans.

They have gone for more smaller blades by adding 2  extra fins vs the previous version which makes it look like it's designed for airflow and silence rather than static pressure but BeQuiet actually says it offers increased air pressure.

BeQuite just needs to be available in the US...

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

German power supply company Be Quiet this week announced a new fan series that it's calling the Pure Wings 2. The company claims that by adding two extra fan blades, it's increased airflow and air pressure while maintaining a nearly inaudible noise level, and recommends the Pure Wings 2 for both water- and air-cooled setups.

Be Quiet is promising an 80,000-hour lifespan thanks to 'high quality' rifle bearings and the fan is available in both 120mm and 140mm variations. These are priced at €10.90 and €11.90, respectively. If you're looking for something a little smaller, Be Quiet is launching 80mm and 90mm versions later this year, though pricing and specific release dates were not discussed.

The design looks really like the Cougar Vortex imo. Would like it if the fan mounts were rubberized imo. Guess that Be Quiet wants to compete with Noctua. :)

Most of be quiet! fans' mounts are rubberised it's just the low end ones that aren't (such as this one).
