Best 12-14 inch 500-600 USD laptop

djdelarosa25

Hi! I'm a student and I'd want a laptop that fits my needs. We do some video editing in our class, and also I'd prefer to run games such as CS:GO on medium settings on the native reso.

I'd like it to have an Intel CPU, have a dedicated GPU, an optical drive, and also have at least 4GB of RAM (but PREFERABLY 8GB).

Thanks!

HP 15-R236NE Core i7 5500U - 2.4GHZ 4GB RAM 500GB HDD 15.6" Win 8.1

2GB GRAPHIC CARD  -  WiFi - CAM - BT- 1 Year International Warranty

Two of my Uni friend bought the same laptop but in i5 version, they both also do gaming. This laptop has Geforce 820M 2gb. I personally played CSGO on one of them. Settings were low-medium settings with Native reso 13xx, fps were around 80-100 in Casual Pub DD2.

at LEAST an 830M - 820M is Fermi - an architecture that came out in 2009 - old and decrepit

Look up GF117 - it's a refresh of GF107 released in 2009

Well, I'll just make it easier then. What's the absolute best laptop (performance-wise) within the $600-$700 range?

(Ummm, no Chromebooks or 2-in-1's. Lol)

This is just not possible on that kind of price point.

Are you sure, because I can play all modern games just fine on my 550 dollar t430 with i7, nvs 5400m and 8gb, and all in native res.
